Use a tea light candle with a tin holder as the base for this Snowflakes Beaded Tea Light Candle Cover. Tea lights are very inexpensive so this project will make a great gift. Add a spot of color in your own home with one. Of course if you are having a "Martha moment" and hosting an oh-so-posh dinner party you can make a candle for each place setting!
I used Silamide thread for my covers and have had no trouble with the candle melting it. I do not recommend using Nymo. Nymo is very thin and could possibly melt. You can also use regular cotton sewing thread. Leave the tin holder inside the beadwork. If you don't have the candle inside the tin you not only can melt the thread you'll have a big fat mess of wax on your beads!
As always, do NOT leave a burning candle unattended.
A color key is included. To see more of my beaded tea light covers just enter tea light in the search engine or search for
