The stitch I used here, can be called octagonal weave. When you stack octagons (8 sided shapes) together, diamond shapes are formed in between the octagons. The stitch has similarities with RAW in that you alternate the direction that you weave each octagon. The thread does not show up as much in this stitch as it does in RAW and gives a tidy finish.
