At 1cm wide by 1 cm high, this ornament would suit a small Christmas tree, but you could hang a cluster of 2 or 3 boxes together to have impact on a big tree.
A variation of tubular peyote, with four straight sides and crisp corners. The box is seamless and is made with just one length of thread.
The technique for making the base is similar to flat round peyote. It grows from the centre, with each row spiralling around 4 central beads. Increases are made in each corner, at regular intervals to form a flat square with straight sides.
You do not need to be experienced with peyote for this project, as step by step instructions are included.
