Amarillo Armadillo
[00004013]

With the interest I've taken in Mexican folkart lately, I've been thinking in my high-school Spanish and Tex-Mex a lot. About color. The only name of a color I remembered was Amarillo, which means yellow. In Spanish, you pronounce the double L as a y. In Texan, when pronouncing the name of the city, you pronounce the double L. As you do in armadillo. So here is the Amarillo Armadillo--yellow, with a fancy Mexican serape and tail wrap, ten gallon hat, red kerchief and cowboy boots with his initials on them. No doubt the toughest critter North, South, East and West of the Pecos. He is either a very large earring or quite a nice pendant. A guy might like him too. Especially a Texan.
