Flower and Leaf Necklace
When I saw Varara Leaf Necklace I thought it would look perfect with some of my flowers added for spring, so I came up with this necklace. I combined Varvara's Leaves necklace (#3727) with Flowers from my Peyote Purse Necklace (#3934). Palomino Pony Earrings in Two Sizes
My friend Dusti loved and lost her palomino stallion before I met her but she still keeps his tack box. So I made her item 1767, my version of a palomino, and put yellow and turquoise swarovskis, faceted glass beads in cobalt, white, and turquoise in looped fringes. I was a little worried when I designed these that they might be too large but I've "tested" them several times now and they're great. I forget I have them on. Because the fringe is so heavy and spread scross the width of the earring, I didn't even have to use clear nail polish to keep them from curling.

Painted Pony Stampede Necklace
I finally got this pattern made up for my horse-lover friend, Dusti. This one is done in flat peyote and the strap pattern sort of just grew out of the border. The fringe was inspired by some I've seen in Suzanne Cooper's books and prevents the necklace from looking too boxy, I think. I used yellow and turquoise swarovskis along with faceted cobalt, red, white, and turquoise beads and opaque red bugles. Throughout most of the necklace I used gorgeous faceted silver space beads but I ran out and the bead shop is also out, so I used some round ones for the rest. The difference is subtle enough that it doesn't bother me, which probably means my beadless friend won't notice. This is pattern number 1777.

This is my very latest beadwork, hot off the press!!!?????!!!!! I finished it yesterday 5/26/03. This is a reduced size, the actual size is 13 1/2 X 8 3/4, consisting of nearly 30,000 Delica beads. Took me nearly 300 hours to complete, with all of the "Golden Frog Awards" & thread problems with some of the Matte finished beads. Now to try to find a frame large enough for it without too much matting. There are a few mistakes + a few of my own designs added, I so wanted to put my initials on it, but because this is a word pattern, I did not know how to do so. I have it stitched to card stock with all of the information on the back of it. The picture I had made at Office Depot this AM is prettier that the actual bead work. There are 61 Delica colors in it.
