Juanita the Whale Necklace
I beaded Juanita the Whale from my pattern #3956. I made several mistakes in my own pattern but she turned out cute anyway and not too far off. I decided for the strap to try a spiral strap with drops in clear, cobalt, and aqua to simulate water spiraling up. I bore easily so I punctuated it with pink bits that reminded me of shell forms. Then I got very brave and added a short spiral with yellow and orange flowers punctuated with red beads to pick up the colors of the other sea critters in the necklace. For the fringe I had those great long twisted aqua bugles and swarovskis and fire polish beads in colors to pick up the different coral reef tones in the necklace. She's my new piece for Embellishment!

9-11-01 Memorial Pin -#2840
This was the most emotional and heart warming project. I changed the colors from the original design to give it a slightly more "Old World" quaility, and attached it with tabs to the delica pin. Thank-you Deb

Celtic Dove Evening Purse
This was my first evening purse. I changed the colors from the original pattern and used some of my favorites. Love this design, and the concept of the larger scale purse. Thanks, Dawn Pattern is not available at Bead-Patterns.com.

Seattle Cats' Cinco de Mayo Earrings
Finally finished a holiday pattern in time for the holiday! Here's the Seattle Cats celebrating Cinco de Mayo in front of the Cantina del Gato. They are dressed in their sombreros and serapes and all ready to chase Mexican jumping beans. I substituted three colors for the ones with the pattern in doing these. I used 780 for the pink adobe background. It's a transparent matte corally pink. The gold I had on the black cat's sombrero disappeared against it, so I substituted yellow 721. The orange cats' fur was originally a transparent matte ab orange which also disappeared against 780 so I substituted 722. an opaque orange, to make the gato stand out.

1751 Moonride Evening Bag
This was designed by Sig to be a tapestry. I made it into an evening purse with the image on both sides, long luscious fringe, lined inside with black silk. Another way to use some of her great tapestry patterns. Thanks Sig

The Amarillo Armadillo
Patti made a small pendant from The Amarillo Armadillo, pattern 4013. She originally thought she might make earrings with this small pattern but it's a bit wide for earrings. A simple two strand multicolored strap and bugle fringe make a pretty striking piece.

Adinkra Omnipotence/Omnipresence of God/Bag
We already have an image of the FRONT of this bag, done in brick stitch with 15/0s (GYE NYAME-OMNIPOTENCE OF GOD). The BACK of the bag is done in peyote stitch with 15/0s (NYAME NWU NA MAWU-OMNIPRESENCE OF GOD). Jo Anns own words : "The strap is done in the same colors but size 11/0 and a few copper triangles. The Drop Bead is there because I feel the Spirit of God comes to us like the flight of the birds....quickly and silently with Power!" The graphs can be found both in #4190 (36-graphs collection of Adinkra Symbols) and #4082 (Adinkra 1: Dual Side Amulet Bag) Pattern used is available from Bead-Patterns.com: 4190 Click here Pattern used is available from Bead-Patterns.com: 4082 Click here
