Sharon Boehme e-mail - Patterns |
Sharon lives in Allentown, PA (where she was born and raised) with her husband and two sons. She attended Muhlenberg College and graduated with a double major in accounting and German. Up until four years ago, Sharon worked doing residential appraising. The company Sharon where worked for 16 years, closed it's doors. Now, Sharon helps with her parent's self serve car wash business by being in charge of customer service. She deals with any problems that might come up.
Sampling of Sharon's Bracelet Designs: Sharon belongs to the local Embroiderer's Guild of America (EGA). Several years ago, several members decided to try beading. Now, there is a beading group that meets once a month for a workshop. Occasionally, the group will have a teacher come in to teach new techniques.
More of Sharon's Designs: Sharon enjoys bead crochet. While she was admiring the work of Judith Bertoglio-Giffin, Sharon thought she would give a try at designing projects. Finding DBB Software on line, she began to play with her ideas. She designed several designs and then decided to join Bead-Patterns.com.
More of Sharon's Designs: Sharon creates her designs on her kitchen table (or sofa) with a laptop & DBB software. She also uses Bead Tool to create her peyote tea lights. She hopes to put together a book of her design in the future. Sharon's biggest personal challenge has been helping her son, Andy, who has a physical disability. He inspires her because he "doesn't stop for anything". Her son plays soccer, loves football and is close to earning his black belt in Karate. Her other son, Thomas, is a great help in coming up with design ideas and helping her out of "mental blocks" on designs. He is an aspiring sculptor and artist in his own right and only 16 years old! Her husband, Rich is also great at "tech support" and moral support.
