This ring chain design is based on those found on graves on the Isle of Man. Believed to be carved by Gaut Björnson (born around 940 AD) they seem to be unique to that area and have never been found anywhere else.
The pattern is designed to be beaded on a looom or using square stitch and can be made in delicas or other cylinder beads or seed beads. You can use as little as two different colours or as many as six- the choice is yours.
The pattern can be used to make bracelets, bookmarks or beaded panels.
I have included the basic pattern with 1,2 or 3 colours for the motifs, a more intricate pattern with specially designed endings to complete the design, as well as variations on how to outline the motifs.
This set includes graphs as well as word charts.
