This pattern set reflects one of the ornaments of Hohloma, traditional Russian golden-red-and-black painting on wooden dishes, spoons and furniture (it got the name after a village Hohloma on the greatest Russian river Volga where this painting has been produced for last 2 centuries). The most popular Hohloma ornaments are herbs, flowers and birds. The pattern includes seven tiny realistic images and seven large color graphs with different colour combinations: four have black backgroud, one with gold background and two with red.
